About Main Street Rogers
Main Street Rogers, Inc. is an independent nonprofit organization of people dedicated to preserving the history and promoting the growth of Downtown Rogers.
Our vision is to “enrich today, by celebrating yesterday, for a prosperous tomorrow.” Every day, the supporters of Main Street Rogers ensure the vitality and prosperity of the historic district through continued success in preservation, business retention and recruitment, historic tourism and events that will sustain smart growth.
Main Street Rogers was organized in 1984, and is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. As a unique preservation-based economic development tool, the Main Street Four-Point Approach is the foundation for local initiatives to revitalize their districts by leveraging local assets – from cultural or architectural heritage to local enterprises and community pride. The four points of the Main Street approach work together to build a sustainable and complete community revitalization effort.
While we work to preserve and restore the historic atmosphere of downtown Rogers, we are also looking to the future … actively seeking innovative ideas and cultures by creating a new community filled with vitality and prosperity.
Four Points of the Main Street Approach
- Organization establishes consensus and cooperation by building partnerships among the various groups that have a stake in the commercial district.
- Promotion takes many forms, but the goal is to create a positive image that will rekindle community pride and improve consumer and investor confidence in Downtown Rogers.
- Design means getting Downtown Rogers into top physical shape and creating a safe, inviting environment for shoppers, workers, and visitors.
- Economic Restructuring strengthens Downtown Rogers’ existing economic assets while diversifying its economic base.
