Main Street Rogers invites everyone to “Chalk the Walks” of the Rogers
Historic District on Saturday, June 14, 2008. Children in
Kindergarten-9th grades will compete for the best Work of Chalk Art. All
ages are welcome to participate in the fun. Check in near the Caboose,
check out your bucket of chalk, find your assigned frame on the sidewalk
in the Rogers Historic District, and create your own Work of Art. When
you’re finished, return the chalk to the registration table and receive
your certificate of participation. Judges will then judge the Sidewalk
Art (Categories: Kindergarten-3rd grade, 4th-6th grades & 7th-9th
grades) and winners will be announced. Winners will be invited back to
reproduce their winning Art Work in a semi permanent paint on the
sidewalk where it will remain for at least 1 year (or until the next
Chalk the Walk).

Bring your dog to Downtown Rogers for a special Saturday morning event
designed for the furry one in your family! Local businesses will have a
variety of activity stations set up throughout the Park for your pet’s
sheer pooch pleasure. Children and dog-lovers of all ages will enjoy the
demonstrations and helpful speaker sessions on Frisco Stage. And if your
family is looking for a new addition, the Animal Shelter and Humane

Annual Santa in Centennial Park
December 7-8, 14-15, & 21-22, 2007. Friday 5-7pm, Saturday 10am-4pm
Rogers Historic District just off First Street
Santa and Mrs. Claus stop in Rogers Historic District weekends in
December following the Community Christmas parade to visit and take
photos with children. Main Street Rogers hosts Santa at a specially
designed Santa House, located in Centennial Park just off S. First
Street in the Historic District. The park will be lighted for the
season. Children may also deliver their letter to Santa to a specially
marked mail box in the Park at any time. All letters will be forwarded
to Santa and copies will be displayed in downtown businesses throughout

Floats, marching bands, decorated cars, scout troops, choirs & Santa
parading through Historic Downtown Rogers. This year’s theme will
be A Jingle Bell Christmas. Pre-parade entertainment – local school & church group
choirs, dance studios, etc. - at many intersections beginning as early

23rd Annual Goblin Parade
October 31, 2007 3:30-5:00pm Rogers Historic District - beginning in
Frisco Park
Main Street Rogers, in conjunction with downtown businesses, present the
annual Goblin Parade for the children of Rogers. Children in costume
follow a planned route through downtown Rogers and "trick-or-treat"
Historic District Businesses along the way. Parents are encouraged to bring their small
children for a fun way to celebrate Halloween. Safe. Free. A Main Street

Bring your instrument and join in with live
gospel, country and bluegrass music or just bring your lawn chair, sit a

3rd Annual Build-a-Scarecrow Sponsored by DesignWorks Join us for this family-oriented event! We will
provide the materials for building your very own scarecrow – you’ll put
it together and take it home with you! You are welcome (and encouraged)
to bring any accessories you want for your scarecrow, i.e. hats, shoes,
etc. This is a FREE event, but is limited to the first 200 families!
We will have baked goods, coffee, hot chocolate, and hot cider for sale,

The Frisco Festival, located in Rogers Historic District, is a family
festival honoring our Railroad Heritage. Area businesses sponsor the
biggest party in town including free rides and amusements. Signature
events include The Great Frisco Cardboard Train Races, the
Chilisalsapeno Competition, Kid's Connection, Frisco Chicken BBQ, and
non-stop main stage entertainment starting and ending with the Friday &
Saturday Night Street Dances.

Art Walk

Rogers Historic Downtown
Stroll the brick streets of Rogers Historic District and enjoy the Arts
as Main Street Rogers Merchants invite artists to show in their shops on
Thursday, May 10, from 4-8pm. Artists (and refreshments) will be inside
each business colorfully marked. “Sidewalk Musicians” will be performing
for your enjoyment. Vote for your favorite artist in the People’s Choice
Award. Become a part of the Community Art Project at First & Elm, or
place a silent bid on the piece as it is being created (bidding ends at
7pm). Enjoy the Arts in Rogers Historic District.

play on one of Northwest Arkansas’ premier golf courses and support
Main Street Rogers on May 7 as the organization hosts the 3rd
Annual Spring Golf Tournament. Limited to 2 flights, 20 teams each, the

Martial Arts in the Park

performances on Frisco Stage at this Saturday event. Release your
work-week stress with a tai chi chuan lesson from 9-10am and a
yoga/Pilates class from 10-11am. Beginning at 11am, a number of
taekwondo, karate, jujitsu, and aikido schools give an entertaining
series of demonstrations. Whether you come to kick or just to watch,
